​                                             Native DNA Terms and Conditions - Updated 2/9/2026


1. Native DNA cannot guarantee that the DNA sample collected by a third-party customer is consistent with the name that this third-party customer has requested to have placed on their Certificate of Ancestry. 

2. Native DNA will not forge results in any fashion per customer request, including adding or subtracting results from customers Certificate of Ancestry, World Map, Unfiltered Match Results, and Deep Dive Results.
 
*The name of the person to be tested that is written on the DNA Consent Form associated with your order will be the name that is placed on all files associated with your results package (e.g., Certificate of Ancestry, Deep Dives, Mixed and Unmixed results etc.). Changing this name at a later date may result in monetary fees of up to $50 for time required to generate new documents with the requested name change.

3. Native DNA reserves the right to cancel and refund any customer purchase, or otherwise refuse service, at any time, if suspicious activity is suspected. This includes, but is not limited to, threats, harassment, unreasonable treatment, destructive or fraudulent behavior, false claims etc.  
*If a customer is provided a refund prior to Native DNA delivering their completed DNA analysis, their data is removed from our database, and Native DNA access to their data files ceases completely, including access via the DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC) website. The customer will not receive their raw STR data file in the event a refund is given prior to Native DNA delivering the completed DNA analysis. All raw STR data files are delivered concurrent with completed STR DNA analyses. 
*Refund requests will be evaluated on a case-specific basis. A $25 restocking fee may be deducted from refunds granted for STR orders. This $25 fee covers order assembly time, packaging, printed material etc.
 
 4. If an official Native DNA issued customer kit (17 or 28 STR Native DNA kit) has been returned to sender due to an incorrect address entered as an error on the part of Native DNA, a replacement kit will be mailed free of charge. However, if the package is lost or otherwise deemed unusable on the part of USPS, the customer will be required to replace the testing kit. Additionally, if a Native DNA testing kit is lost or otherwise deemed unusable following its arrival at the shipping address provided by the customer, as indicated by official USPS tracking information, the customer will be responsible for replacing the DNA testing kit. 
 
*For international customers: Due to customs requirements of international shipping, Native DNA cannot be held liable for lost or damaged international testing kits mailed to DDC lab. Return shipping of international DNA samples to DDC is the full responsibility of the customer.  

Statement of Privacy: Native DNA will in no way, sell, lend, or otherwise provide customer information of any sort to second and third-party entities, or external groups and organizations for any purpose. Viable and valid Native DNA customer STR and SNP DNA data are stored within private, offline, in-house databases with the sole intent of providing our customers with additional information, analysis updates etc. strictly upon customer request. We do not access stored customer data unless a request is made by the customer owning this data.
 
Native DNA does not store customer STR buccal swab samples. Such samples are received and destroyed by DDC following their corporate protocol. At no time does Native DNA come into contact with customer buccal samples, as they are mailed directly to DDC lab by the customer.
